YK Chan, Managing Director at WT China, brings deep strategic insight, strong leadership and a clear focus on long-term value creation.

YK started his career in a construction firm and later joined WT in 1991. He has over thirty years of quantity surveying experience in China’s construction industry. In 2003, he became a director of the practice responsible for a wide variety of projects in Hong Kong and China Mainland.

He has extensive practical experience in large-scale comprehensive developments. Some of his prominent commissions include the International Commercial Centre in Hong Kong and the Guangzhou International Financial Centre in China, where both are multi-billion developments and consist of a super high-rise mega tower over 400m high. His knowledge in large-scale comprehensive developments together with expertise gained from a wide variety of projects will always ensure his provision of quantity surveying services to be value-added.

He also has extensive experience in China projects. His involvement in China projects starting from Shenzhen Xili Golf Club Development in 1993. Since then, he has been involved in numerous China projects across Beijing, Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Wuhan, Fuzhou, Zhaoqing, Foshan, Guangzhou, Dongguan and Hainan.

In 2024, WT appointed YK Chan as Managing Director (China).
