The project converted the former Lai Chi Kok Hospital, a Grade III historic building, into a cultural complex for promoting cultural activities and providing exchange programs for local and overseas clients. The scopes of work included open landscaped gardens, galleries, exhibition halls, restaurant and food & beverages outlets, theatre of around 200 seats, 19 classrooms/workshops and a hostel of 85 guest rooms, information and resources centres and reading rooms.
The revitalization project has been carried out by phases and was completed in 2013.
