After commissioning Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant plays an important role in power supply security for the Southern region, reducing hydropower dependency of grid to hydropower, especially in dry seasons and dry years, lowering dispatched power from the North to the South as well as power loss, and increasing safety, stability, and economics of the grid.
