Description:
WTP was engaged to provide full quantity surveying services for the URA residential redevelopment works at Chi Kiang Street/Ha Heung Road, To Kwa Wan, Kowloon. The redevelopment project has a construction floor area of 13,262m² and will be completed in January 2017.

Project Features:
The project is a JV between the Client and URA and includes ground investigation, foundation, excavation and lateral supports, pile caps, superstructure, ABWF, building services, landscaping and external works on a site of 931m². The proposed redevelopment comprises 2 levels of basement car parks, a 2-storey podium retail and a 26-storey residential tower with recreational facilities (clubhouse), sky garden and an outdoor landscaped area with recreational pool on podium roof.

Key Issues:
The site is a corner site with only one single entry/exit permitted by the Transport Department. Site logistic becomes a challenge for the Main Contractor and this is further complicated with the MTR Shatin to Central Link works currently under construction in the close vicinity.

The Site is located within Area No. 3 of the Schedule Area so the Main Contractor shall comply with all Ordinances, by-laws and regulations relating to the Railway and consult the MTR Corporation Limited so as to ensure that any such Works do not and will not damage, interfere with or endanger any railway works, structures, facilities or installations or the safe operation of the railway as defined under the MTR Ordinance.
