Project Description

Client:

Police Married Quarters Management Office

Project Value:

HK$16 million (Phase One)

Renovated from the former Police Married Quarters in Central, a Grade III listed historical building built in 1951, the PMQ comprises two separate buildings of varying heights along with connecting and freestanding buildings. The fitout programme carried out by phases targets to deliver a total GFA of 18,000 m² comprehensive design and exhibition spaces for fostering collaboration between designers.

Alongside accommodating over 130 design studios, shared offices, multi-functional hall, resources centre, retail shops for brands and designer-in-residents units indoor, the complex also provides semi-opened central courtyard and outdoor roof garden. Specifically the project has drawn complexities in the procurement of specially designed exhibition display system, signature wayfinding signage system and customized E&M facilities to be installed for brand identity of PMQ forging.

WT Partnership has been engaged in managing the fit out tender process and post contract administration of the PMQ’s phase one development since 2013.
