Philip Lee

Associate (Singapore)

Philip Lee started his Quantity Surveying career in a professional Quantity Surveying firm in Brunei working on a variety of public sector projects and term contract works. When he moved back to Singapore toward the late 1970s, he continued to work in a couple of Quantity Surveying firms and was involved in projects such as the OCBC Centre, SATS Airfreight Terminal 2 and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

In particular, he was seconded as a Resident Quantity Surveyor in the major development of Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore for close to a decade and worked closely with the Polytechnic’s HOD for Development on feasibility studies, preparing high level cost plan and budgetary estimate papers for Ministerial approval.

Prior to joining WT Partnership in 2011, Philip has worked first as a senior manager (contracts) of a large landscape company, managing the contract department for 7 years and then as a contracts manager in a local construction firm for 3 years. There, he was in charge of a team handling all aspects of contract management from medium to large high-end residential projects including preparing and negotiating claims for extension of time, loss & expense and work suspension.

Philip’s expertise includes all aspects of Quantity Surveying from pre-contract cost planning to final account. His practical experiences on both sides of the fence in the building industry have enabled him to be very effective in the settlement of final accounts in particular.

His project experience includes condominiums, commercial/ retail buildings, institution of higher learning buildings, fitouts both in the private and public sectors, schools, telecom exchanges and factories.

Philip was appointed as an Associate of the Singapore office in January 2013.
