Kim Chuan Underground MRT Depot, Singapore

WTP was part of the Multi-disciplinary team which provided mainly pre-contract services for this project in 2003.

Completed in 2009, this depot houses the trains for the Circle and Downtown MRT lines.

With a GFA of 100,000m2, this underground depot comprises:

• A depth of 24m at some points
• A capacity for 77 trains
• An administration building with offices, a warehouse, a canteen and a 66KV sub-station above it

This depot located along Upper Paya  Lebar Road provides stabling of the trains, maintenance and operational control of the line.
