Passenger Terminal 1 at Hong Kong International Airport was designed to cater for 25 million passengers a year on opening day. The total gross floor area is approximately 500,000 m² and in addition to the regular airport terminal functions it also houses offices and accommodation for government departments, airlines, the airport authorities and other franchise operators as well as significant retail facilities.

WT Partnership was the quantity surveyor as part of the Mott Consortium who were responsible for the design and tender documentation of the project on behalf of the Provisional Airport Authority (PAA). WT Partnership commenced work in 1992, and at the peak period had over 60 technical staff engaged in provision of full cost planning and cost management services during the design and contract documentation over the next two years.

Subsequently, WT Partnership were awarded the commission by the Airport Authority to provide quantity surveying services in respect of the airfield tunnels and infrastructure services at Chek Lap Kok.
